The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
bulthaup am Ring · Carsten Schmeinck

Phone: +49 2871 28999 66
Email: carsten@bulthaup-bocholt.de
2. General information on data processing
We process our users' personal data only insofar as this is necessary to provide a functioning website and our content and services, or where you have given your consent. Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by an external service provider (processor):
STRATO AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany
When you access the website, the host automatically collects information transmitted by your browser and stores it in what are known as server log files. This typically includes: the page visited, the date and time of access, the volume of data transferred, notification of successful access, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL and the (shortened) IP address. This data serves the technical delivery, stability and security of the website.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and stable provision pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The log files are deleted once they are no longer required for the stated purpose.
4. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the “https://” in your browser's address bar.
5. Contact and appointment requests
If you contact us via the enquiry form or by email, we process the data you provide, in particular your name, email address, any telephone number and the content of your message, in order to handle your enquiry.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (initiation or performance of a contract) and our legitimate interest in responding to your request pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We store this data until your enquiry has been conclusively dealt with and no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.
6. Requesting the preparation booklet (newsletter / Brevo)
When you request the free preparation booklet, we process your email address and your name in order to send you the booklet and to occasionally provide you with further information about kitchen planning.
We use the service Brevo for delivery:
Brevo GmbH
Köpenicker Straße 126
10179 Berlin, Germany
The registration form is embedded directly into our website as a Brevo element (iframe) and is loaded as soon as the page is opened, regardless of whether you fill it in. In the process, your IP address is transmitted to Brevo for technical reasons. This transmission serves solely to provide and correctly display the form; the legal basis is our legitimate interest in a functioning registration path pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. It does not involve any analysis of your browsing behaviour.
Registration takes place via the double opt-in procedure: after signing up, you receive an email in which you confirm your registration. This ensures that the registration genuinely comes from you. Brevo processes the data on our behalf on the basis of a data processing agreement; the relevant provisions form part of Brevo's terms of use. The server location for data processing is in Germany.
In individual cases, Brevo may pass personal data to sub-processors that may also be located in third countries (such as the USA or India). For these cases, Brevo ensures an adequate level of data protection through appropriate safeguards pursuant to Art. 44 et seq. GDPR.
The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future, for example via the unsubscribe link in every email. The withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out up to that point.
7. Fonts
The fonts used on this website (“Rotis SemiSans” and “Inter”) are served locally from our own server. No connection to third-party servers (such as Google Fonts) is established; your IP address is not transmitted to third parties for this purpose.
8. Links to social networks
In the footer of this website you will find links to our profiles on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Houzz. These are simple links only, not embedded plug-ins. Data is transmitted to the operators of these networks only when you actively click one of these links and open the relevant page. The privacy policy of the respective provider then applies to the processing there.
9. Cookies
This website does not set any cookies for analytics, tracking or marketing purposes. Only technically necessary data required for the operation of the website is processed. A consent banner is therefore not required at present. With regard to the embedded registration form described in section 6, the provider Brevo may use technically necessary storage mechanisms (such as local storage) in your browser when displaying the form; we have no influence over this.
10. Your rights as a data subject
With regard to the personal data concerning you, you have the following rights:
- Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
- Right to withdraw consent given (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
To exercise your rights, an informal message to the contact details given under point 1 is sufficient.
11. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority is that of your habitual residence or of our registered office:
Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (LDI NRW)
Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany
12. Storage period
We store personal data only for as long as is necessary for the respective purposes or as required by statutory retention periods. Once the purpose ceases to apply or these periods expire, the data is deleted.
13. Status of this policy
Status: June 2026. We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy so that it always complies with current legal requirements.
